Rustenburg is a town located in the Bojanala region of the North West Province in South Africa. In the 1800s the Voortrekkers claimed this, the Magaliesberg area, as their homeland. The area soon thrived with crops and livestock and rapidly grew into a peaceful community. Today this town is part of a large agricultural industry which produces beef, citrus, wheat and sunflowers. The Rustenburg area is also a well-known mining area because of its proximity to the Bushveld Igneous Complex.
